Dr. Edwin Galkin - Welcome to Woodbridge Periodontics LLC

Dr. Edwin Galkin grew up in Hoboken, New Jersey. He attended the University of Connecticut, received his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and received his periodontal training at New York University College of Dentistry.

He served two years as a Captain in the United States Dental Corps stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.

He was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry. He is a Past President of the New Jersey Society of Periodontist and a current member of the American Dental Association, Middlesex County Dental Society, Northeastern Society of Periodontist, New Jersey Society of Periodontist, American Academy of Periodontology, and the American Academy of Osteointegration.

He is also Co-founder of the Third Millennium Dental Study Club, a division of the Seattle Study Club. This has been in existence for over ten years. The Seattle Study Club is a group of dentists who get together to share and learn about new procedures for the betterment of their mutual patients.

Dr. Galkin has been in practice in the Woodbridge area since 1965 specializing in periodontal disease and implants.

On a more personal note, Dr. Galkin's hobby is aviation. He has been flying his single engine plane since 1970. He has flown the plane around the world twice. In 2004 he flew his plane around the world for a cause to raise awareness of a rare disease (aroundtheworldagain.com). He also uses his aviation skills to fly Angel Flight (sick patients to hospitals for treatment) angelflightne.org.

Dr. Galkin and his wife Bobbie have two children Michael and Marcie, and five grandchildren, all of whom are very proud of him.
